2023 is set to be one of the greatest years for events taking place across the diverse world of architecture and design. We attended many extraordinary events in 2022, but in 2023, we look forward to picking up the pace and getting back out there.
With so many events on offer, it can be hard to decide what to attend. To help you choose, we have outlined a selection of events in our calendar.
February 2023
Surface Design Show
Surface Design Show will welcome over 180 exhibitors displaying the most diverse range of surface materials and designs. What’s more, you’ll have the chance to hear from more than 40 expert speakers as they share their invaluable industry expertise.
This year Surface Design Show will focus on the theme of ‘shaping communities’ and explore how architects and designers can improve surroundings through collaboration and sustainable innovative design solutions.
Head to Surface Design Show at London’s Business Design Centre from Tuesday the 7th of February to Thursday the 9th of February to meet likeminded up and coming designers.
March 2023
London Interior Design Week
London Interior Design Week is set to be the biggest design show the industry has seen. From Monday the 13th of March to Friday the 17th of March, over 1,000 visitors will head to the heart of London for a week of design, insights, inspiration, and creativity.
You can expect to immerse yourself amongst talented individuals and visit 120 design showrooms displaying some of the most outstanding designs. This is a one stop show for a week of design excellence.
You will be treated to talks, presentations, networking opportunities, professional insights and much more.
Architect @ Work UK
Returning for Spring 2023 on Wednesday the 22nd of March, Architect @ Work will host the architecture and design community at the Truman Brewery, London.
Leading industry suppliers will be ready to show you their latest revolutions, which you could be using in the future. An extensive array of expert guest speakers will take part in live panel discussions and delve into the hottest trends in architecture and design.
If your goal for 2023 is to enhance your career, you won’t want to miss this event.

Clerkenwell Design Week
Tuesday the 23rd of May will mark the start of Clerkenwell Design Week. We cannot wait.
Clerkenwell Design Week is one of the most highly anticipated events across the interior design industry. With industry professionals attending from all over the country, and even the world.
We had an amazing time attending last year, and we look forward to attending again this year.

London Festival of Architecture
London Festival of Architecture is a one-of-a-kind month-long celebration of the world of architecture.
The festival always aims to supply an incredible month of displays, experiences, thought leadership, and networking opportunities. Taking place across the multicultural City of London, the festival will incorporate both professional and public architecture, so that everyone can celebrate the world of architecture together.
AJ100 Gala Dinner
AJ100 Practices are invited to attend the AJ100 Gala Dinner each year to celebrate the successes of the architecture industry and reveal the winners of the AJ100 Awards.
This prestigious event is an excellent opportunity to commend the achievements of the AJ100 Practices and the talented individuals that make these achievements possible.
This is one of the most sought-after events in the architecture calendar and we cannot wait to attend again in 2023. Stay tuned for the official date.
September 2023
Design London
From Wednesday the 20th of September to Friday the 23rd of September, Design London will host an extensive programme of design content and welcome the most renowned design brands from across the industry.
Set to impress with influential thought leaders and breath-taking installations, you will be spoilt for choice. Over the four days, you will have the chance to be part of the audience of truly captivating talks, trend predictions and panel discussions from prominent and aspiring innovative designers, who are making their mark across the world of design.
October 2023
Architect of the Year Awards
The Architect of the Year Awards is a fantastic occasion for celebrating and recognising the remarkable work and milestones of the UK’s architecture practices. Award winners will be announced live at the event, meaning you’ll be amongst the first to know about the practices and talented architects leading the way.
We eagerly await the results of who this year’s award winners will be because the 2022 winners could be hard to beat.
SBID International Design Awards
As official partners of SBID we are proud to be attending the SBID International Awards 2023. SBID certainly know how to throw a party.
2023 will mark the 14th edition of the SBID International Design Awards. This is one of the most incredible celebrations of top industry talent and design innovation. The awards are categorised into specialisms, giving practices and designers a fair chance of a nomination, or award in their design area of expertise. Covering everything from Interior Design to Product Design and Fit Out.
This is a great opportunity to meet and connect with prominent professionals at this sell-out annual industry event.
November 2023
London Build Expo
From Wednesday the 15th of November over two consecutive days, the Olympia London will host London Build Expo 2023. As the UK’s leading construction show, you’ll want to ensure you are there.
Over 500 industry speakers will take to the eight stages over the two days, sharing their insights on the most prevalent trends. You can also anticipate networking events, an architect’s hub, a construction festival and more.
