As a Senior Designer you will collaborate closely with Client Teams to develop exciting and dynamic places to visit, focusing on both location and vibrant, engaging uses. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for delivering reports, with strong support from the master planning management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Focus on stages 0-3 of the design process, front-end and conceptual work only.
- Projects span across the Middle East, America, Europe and the UK, offering a diverse and dynamic work environment.
- Develop and communicate compelling design stories through visuals, hand sketches, and other presentation methods, can be computer aided methods – but an understanding behind how you got the visual would be imperative. Some examples of your work would be good to see, so you can chat design thinking and work process.
- Create strategies and visions that reflect a deep understanding of the 'why' behind each design decision.
- Work autonomously and lead projects with minimal supervision.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and independence.
- Execute and deliver the project scope as outlined in the fee proposal, and contribute to writing scopes in future proposals.
- Manage resources and time effectively while actively participating in the production of work.
- Attend and lead Client and Subconsultant meetings, present and develop the project, brief specialists, and manage their outputs.
- Oversee documentation and presentations, ensuring the team produces accurate information.
- Expertise in AutoCAD, InDesign, SketchUp, Grasshopper and Rhino.
- Hand-drawing.
- Strong storytelling abilities, capable of explaining the process and rationale behind design decisions.
- Experience with large-scale projects, including Retail, Transport/Airports, and Mixed-use developments.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite, including InDesign and Illustrator, for creating diagrams and presentations.
- Confidence in working with consultants and conveying ideas effectively.
