Reflecting on Architecture & Design in 2015
As we draw to the end of a year I thought it would be good to reflect on how the year has been; how we have found it within the Architectural and Design industry and share some of our findings with you all.
It has been a busy time and we have found that lots of Architectural practices have been winning new projects and therefore have been in need of contract and permanent Architectural candidates to help. The sectors that we have found to be the busiest have been Commercial, Retail and Residential - both high-rise and multi-unit. Interestingly, Transportation and Healthcare sectors also started to pick throughout the year in which at the start of 2015 and it had been relatively quiet in comparison. We also found Interiors, Visualisation and Graphics have been busier across the different sectors and we have noticed a significant rise in contract within these disciplines.
Revit has still been by far the most demanding within software criteria and anyone with extensive Revit skills or experience with other BIM platforms appears to be able to command higher rates or salary. As a result of 2015 being busier, here at FRAME we have increased our team within Architecture and Design. We have already received an influx of new jobs for the New Year within Architecture, Interior Design, Visualisation and Graphics.
On behalf of the team here at FRAME, we wish you all a ‘Season's Greetings’ and much success for 2016…and don’t forget, when you have new requirements and need additional Architectural staff or you are looking for a new and opportunity then please do contact one of the team who will help!
