We are seeking an experienced and versatile Senior Designer with a strong focus on FF&E to join our clients team. This role involves working primarily on high-profile hospitality and luxury residential projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality, restaurant, and/or high-end residential sectors, with a proven ability to manage small to mid-sized projects or contribute to large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creative Direction:
- Develop and contribute innovative ideas and concepts to projects.
- Demonstrate strong conceptual thinking, curiosity, and an abundance of design ideas.
- Design Execution:
- Exhibit excellent design skills, including research, conception, modeling, and technical drawing.
- Manage, source, and select FF&E for various project types, including hotels, restaurants, and residential properties.
- Design bespoke furniture and prepare detailed furniture drawings.
- Project Management:
- Deliver projects from concept through to site installation, overseeing all aspects of FF&E.
- Coordinate with procurement agents, manage budgets, and value-engineer furniture and fabrics.
- Review shop drawings, manage project control samples, and ensure the accuracy of all FF&E documentation.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the team to develop initial design concepts and palettes.
- Prepare schemes and sample boards for finishes, fabrics, and accessories.
- Oversee and support other members of the FF&E team.
- Client and Vendor Relations:
- Maintain communication with clients, consultants, and vendors on all FF&E matters.
- Attend site meetings and travel internationally as needed for presentations or site assistance.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with a proactive and confident approach.
- Leadership abilities, with a positive attitude and a meticulous, detail-oriented mindset.
- Extensive knowledge of both traditional and contemporary interior materials, furnishings, and artwork.
