Job Description:
As a Team Lead in the Interior Design department, candidates will assume a pivotal role in overseeing projects across various global locations, with a particular focus on UK sites. Reporting directly to the Head of Interior Design, the successful candidate will lead a team of talented designers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support throughout all project phases. From concept inception to project completion, the Team Lead will ensure the seamless execution of design concepts, while adhering to strict timelines and budgetary requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing multiple interior schemes and conducting comprehensive reviews of design packs.
- Efficiently managing project timelines to ensure timely delivery of interior design drawing packs and projects.
- Providing constructive feedback and mentorship to team members, empowering them to achieve outstanding results.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, including technical architects and M&E consultants, to ensure successful implementation of design concepts.
- Establishing and implementing drawing standards, project standards, and templates.
- Demonstrated track record in team management, project management, and interior design within the hospitality sector.
- Proficiency in design software such as Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
- Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Degree in Interior Design or architectural qualifications.
- Over 10 years of hospitality design experience with an understanding of industry trends.
- Knowledge of UK building regulations; familiarity with European and US regulations is advantageous.
- Overseeing multiple interior schemes and conducting comprehensive reviews of design packs, with a strong eye for detail and knowledge of joinery and construction details
- On site experience is essential
