Heritage and Conservation Consultancy
As a Conservation Architect, you will join the specialist Heritage and Conservation Consultancy division at CAD Architects. You will become part of a team who have outstanding expertise in the field, who are uniquely able to identify and work with the individual factors which define the character and special interest of Listed buildings and historic settlements.

The role of Conservation Architect
As a Part III qualified Conservation Architect, you will be client-focused and expected to take briefs within the framework of constraints imposed by the significance of the heritage asset. You will also need to be comfortable negotiating with Conservation and Planning Officers, whilst managing the planning process.
Requirements of the Conservation Architect
The ideal candidate will have experience working as an Architect with Listed Buildings, conceptualising Design, completing Heritage Impact Assessments, and submitting Listed Building and Planning Applications.
You should be accredited with AABC, IHBC or RIBA Conservation Register and have at least two years of post-qualification experience. Experience completing Heritage Impact Assessments is essential.
The salary on offer is from £35,000 to £45,000 plus benefits. The role is based in the beautiful Cornish town of Truro, and a relocation package is on offer for candidates who are motivated by this opportunity and live outside of the area.
