Are you ready for the World Architecture Festival 2020? This year the event is going online, and you can join the global architecture community for this much anticipated annual event – promising to be the world’s must-attend virtual architecture festival. This is an event where architects and creatives can come together at such a challenging time for the industry, share concepts and pave the way for a brighter future.

Taking place from 30th November – 4th December 2020, you can listen to expert speakers, join live panel discussions and network with like-minded individuals from your own home. Best of all, attendance is free, so with that in mind, we wanted to share a few of the events that have caught our attention.

S.O.U.L @Morphogenesis | Building Resilient Communities – 30th November at 9:10 AM

The COVID-19 pandemic has made it more important than ever to build sustainable and environmentally resilient building designs, reduce urban homelessness and enhance the quality of life in our communities.

Lead by Manit Rastogi, Co-Founder or Morphogenesis, this discussion aims to uncover the long-term value of urban buildings and their impact on the well-being of the communities in which they are housed. Manit believes that commitment to sustainable environments goes beyond the realm of architecture practice.

Lessons from a Zero-Carbon Era – 1st December – 12:30 PM

The future world will demand more buildings and therefore more materials and resources to build them. By 2060 it is estimated that we will have built double the infrastructure that we currently have on the earth. How will we continuously find the resources to achieve this?

Mario Cucinella – Founder of Mario Cucinella Architects will deliver a talk on why in today's world of architecture and design we must look towards a greener future to focus on plants as resources, leaning in on plant intelligence. This key talk will look at how the industry can learn from past challenges and how we can better respond to challenges of the future.
